Hyde Park

If when I say ‘625 acres of greenery in one of the world’s most influential metropolises’ you don’t think of a small slice of heaven then you are mistaken. Hyde park is one of the biggest parks in London and I was reminded of it’s relaxing fields of city-goers a few weeks ago whilst visiting the city.

Piccadilly runs straight past the park so it is a perfect place to take refuge from the noisy streets, bustling crowds and over-priced shops. As a popular haunt of many, Londoners and tourists alike can be seen lolling between the towering trees on a hot summer’s day and it’s no wonder why – it is positively stunning.

Fancy a relaxing hour on the Serpentine lake? Pedalos are for hire near the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen. It is a great way to spend part of your day in London although I can’t say it wasn’t hard work. If peddling isn’t your forte then there are many other ways to spend your time with seasonal events such as live music, Winter Wonderland, speaker’s corner, horse riding and guided walks. Head over to https://www.royalparks.org.uk to see what’s on.

So if you have a spare moment to yourself whilst in London, why not give it a visit? I trust you won’t be disappointed.
